- 07/17/2024, Congratulations to Yaochun on another paper about microbial defluorination "Electron bifurcation and fluoride efflux systems implicated in defluorination of perfluorinated unsaturated carboxylic acids by Acetobacterium spp" published in Science Advances! It discovers specific bacterial species capable of reductive defluorination of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and implicates in the molecular mechanisms. This is one step further down the road of PFAS biodegradation study. Let's see how far we could go!

- 11/10/2023, Bosen won the First Place in 2023 SCCAEPA Best Student Research Award competition. Congrats! He will be presenting his research at the 2024 SCCAEPA Annual Convention.
